Maple Glazed Chicken Thighs

This is an easy chicken recipe to make but you’d never know it from its complex mixture of sweet and savory flavors. Brown rice and steamed brocolli make great side dishes to complete the meal. 

Servings: 4 (4 oz. each)
Yields: 4 chicken thighs


1 lb. skinless, boneless chicken thighs freshly ground black pepper, to taste


1⁄4 cup FIFTY50 Fructose Sweetened Maple Syrup
1 tablespoon peanut or sesame oil
1 tablespoon less sodium soy sauce
1⁄2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 large clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger or 1⁄4 teaspoon ground ginger


  1. In a small bowl whisk together all marinade ingredients. Set aside.
  2. Place the chicken in a shallow container, add the pepper, and pour the marinade over the chicken. Cover the container and shake it to evenly coat the chicken.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or, ideally, overnight.
  4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place the chicken and marinade in a shallow oven-proof casserole or baking pan.
  5. Bake the chicken for 20 minutes on one side and 10 minutes on the other. Serve immediately.
