Lickety-Split Homemade Vanilla Frozen Yogurt

Simple, scrumptious, easy to make and good for you. You only need three basic ingredients to prepare and enjoy this wonderful frozen dessert. Use your imagination for toppings or add other ingredients into the body of the yogurt as it starts to freeze. The sky’s the limit with this recipe!

Servings: 6 - ½ cup each
Yields: 3 cups

Ingredients

3 cups nonfat plain Greek yogurt
¼ cup FIFTY50 Low Glycemic Fructose Granulated Sweetener
2-3 teaspoons vanilla bean paste or extract
6-8 fresh mint leaves, hand torn into small pieces

Directions

Note: This recipe has been made with an electric frozen yogurt/ice cream maker. However, the prepared mixture can also be poured into a plastic container with a tight-fitting lid and frozen to desired consistency (2-3 hours). When left overnight or longer in the freezer, this frozen yogurt should sit out on the counter for 15-30 minutes before serving.

  1. Place all chilled ingredients in a medium size mixing bowl. Stir to blend thoroughly.
  2. Pour the yogurt mixture into the freezer bowl of a frozen yogurt/ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s directions.
  3. Serve immediately topped with freshly cut mint leaves or store in a plastic container with a tight-fitting lid in the freezer.
