Hot Fudge Ice Cream Sauce

This delicious creamy sauce can go on top of anything -- it's shown here drizzled over the Homemade Lickety Split Vanillla Frozen Yogurt! What makes it even “sweeter” is that it won't spike blood glucose levels because the FIFTY50 foods in this recipe are low glycemic. Just the same, don’t overindulge! The taste is so genuine that a little will go a long way.

Servings: 16 - 1 tablespoon each
Yields: 1 cup

Ingredients

¼ cup half & half
1 bar (2.8 oz) FIFTY50 Low Glycemic Dark Chocolate Bar, ​finely chopped
4 teaspoons FIFTY50 Low Glycemic Fructose Granulated Sweetener
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch salt

Directions

  1. Add all the other ingredients to a 16-oz glass canning jar and microwave on HIGH for 70-90 seconds (no lid).
  2. Remove the jar from the microwave. Screw on the lid tightly and shake vigorously until all ingredients are melted and well combined.
  3. Return to microwave for a few additional seconds if the sauce is not smooth and creamy.
  4. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month. Sauce will thicken when chilled.
